Job Description
Capital Data Science LLC has an opening for the position of Data Scientist in San Francisco, CA, and the job duties are as follows:
> Address client’s operational and financial challenges by using big data and providing actionable insights from advanced predictive and optimization models.
> Design models, algorithms, and visualizations that will help client companies distill insights from big/messy data.
> Collect capital markets, financial, and operational data from disparate sources.
> Interpret analytical models, conduct analysis to gain insights into the root of the business problems, propose solutions to problems, and assist in quantifying improvements in operations.
> Generate high impact business strategies and roadmaps for solution implementation, to help clients realize value from analytics on a recurring basis.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
> Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
> Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Quantitative Finance, Financial Mathematics, or Statistics strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in each of the following:
> Working in the Banking, Accounting, Financial, IT or Consulting industry; and
> Conducting data wrangling, manipulations, and analysis utilizing Python, SQL, Pandas, or SAS;
> Implementing data visualization solutions in Tableau, Power BI, or SAS;
> Deploying analytical solutions utilizing SAS and Python;
> Utilizing forecasting techniques; and
> Implementing machine learning algorithms utilizing SAS and Python
